Innocent Amish Target by Patricia Johns

A string of kidnappings…

and she’s next on the list.

When Susanna Stutzman is forcefully grabbed off the street in an attempted abduction, she escapes thanks to quick action by off-duty state police trooper Zeke Esch. And when the same criminals attack Susanna at her home, it becomes clear she’s not just a random target. As they flee from a suspected trafficking ring that kidnaps Amish women, they must navigate the wilderness to evade their violent pursuers. But without a way to call for help, can they uncover why these criminals are so focused on capturing Susanna…before she becomes the next victim?

My review

Susanna is going about her perfectly normal day when suddenly out of nowhere someone tries to kidnap her. Thanks to the quick thinking of off duty police officer Zeke, the attempt comes to nothing. However from that point on things get progressively worse for the both of them as they are plunged into a terrifying couple of days. Zeke quickly realises this is related to a current case and is determined to protect Susanna, even if he is no longer Amish.

The story is one amazing roller coaster of a read, with twists and turns and heart stopping moments a plenty. But then coming from the pen, or laptop, of Ms. Johns I’d expect nothing less. Even though I knew it was romance, a happy ending per romance style seemed impossible. Until the final few pages.

A great, clean, Christian read not to be missed.
